Property Description
Some homes have character added to them. This one has had it for more than a century. Welcome to 63 Faire Harbour Place, historically known as the Harrison Whittemore House, a Colonial Revival home recognized as a contributing property within New London's National Register-listed Montauk Avenue Historic District. Local history holds that Whittemore built the home for his daughter, and its craftsmanship has been beautifully preserved through generations. The character begins outside, where the original brick walkway leads to an unforgettable front portico with detailed millwork, stained glass and built-in benches. Inside, 2,284 sq ft offers 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths with original woodworking, hardwood floors, built-ins, paneled walls, arched openings and two fireplaces. The updated kitchen features abundant cabinetry, stone counters, stainless appliances, a large island and a sun-filled banquette dining space. A main-floor primary bedroom with its beautiful fireplace and mantel is a standout. Historic character, thoughtfully updated for the way we live today.
